Transmission Gully Project Works continue on State Highway 58 this Friday

Source: New Zealand Transport Agency

Road users can expect delays if they’re travelling on State Highway 58 this Friday night, and Friday night the following week, as a section of the highway is having its final road surface laid between Transmission Gully and Bradey Road

The work is part of the Aranui o Te Rangihaeata – Transmission Gully project and has been deliberately timed to happen overnight when traffic is lighter to ensure disruption to traffic is minimised as much as possible

This work will run from 8 pm Friday night to 6 am Saturday morning on Friday,
8 December and Friday, 15 December
. There will be lane closures and traffic management.

Drivers must follow all traffic management controls and directions from roadworkers. This is to keep everyone safe – drivers and construction crews.

Traffic management:

  • Westbound – Friday, 8 December
    • Motorists will still be able travel in both directions
    • Lane closures will be operated by stop/go traffic management
    • Please expect minor delays
  • Eastbound – Friday, 15 December
    • Motorists will still be able travel in both directions
    • Lane closures will be operated by stop/go traffic management
    • Please expect minor delays

This work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled.
