Totara Street in Mount Maunganui is closed following a serious crash between a truck and a motorcycle.
Police were called to the crash between State Highway 2 (Hewletts Road) and Waimarie Street at approximately 9:30am.
The road is closed while emergency services respond.
Diversions are being put in place at the intersections of Totara Street and Hull Road, and Totara Street and Hewletts Road.
Police ask that motorists avoid the area where possible and are patient if they experience delays.
