Headline: State Highway 1 – road closure

Police are asking Auckland motorists heading north today to delay travel wherever possible, while State Highway 1 is closed between Silverdale and Warkworth.
We expect the road to remain closed for much of today as officers work at the scene of a fatal shooting.
If you must travel today, diversions north are via State Highway 16 – please refer to www.nzta.govt.nz for further details.
