Headline: Update 2 – fatal crash north of Waiouru

One person has died and a number of others are injured following a crash on the Desert Rd.
The route has been closed and diversions are in place, as advised by NZTA.
Police were contacted at 3:27pm and responded to a crash involving a car and a truck.
It happened between Waipakihi Rd and Rangipo Intake Rd.
The Serious Crash Unit and the Commercial Vehicle Safety Team have been advised.
