Emergency services attended a serious crash on Matakana Valley Rd, Matakana just before midnight.
Police responded to a report of a single vehicle crash at 11.47pm, between Torea Rd and Long Meadow Rd.
Both occupants of the vehicle were taken to Auckland Hospital.
The driver is in a critical condition and the passenger is in a serious condition.
The Serious Crash Unit was notified.
