The series provides a forum for Pacific Supreme Audit Institutions, Public Service Commissions, Ombudsmen, and other interested public sector agencies to share knowledge and expertise about building strong integrity systems. 

Integrity is essential to public trust. Effective national integrity systems support good governance, transparency, and accountability. Many public sector organisations play a part in this system.

This webinar explored how three public sector organisations in Tonga are enabling integrity systems to thrive in their public sector. Panelists shared how they have responded to integrity challenges. They will each talk about the role of their organisation and provide insights on how they help to strengthen the integrity of the delivery of the Tongan public sector.

Effective national integrity systems support good governance, transparency, and accountability. The media plays a critical role in this system, revealing performance failures, fraud, corruption, and promoting public accountability.

This webinar explored the value of strengthening collaborative efforts between Supreme Audit Institutions and the media. It draws on recent findings from the Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institution (PASAI)’s fourth study of accountability and transparency issues and risks in the Pacific region, and provided a forum for those working in the Pacific public sector to share knowledge and expertise to build strong integrity systems in our region.

To mark the release of the Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institution (PASAI)’s fourth study of accountability and transparency issues and risks in the Pacific region, the Office of the Auditor-General of New Zealand and Secretary-General of PASAI hosted an online webinar.

The webinar explored the value civil society organisations bring to the effective function of the public financial management system and particularly to the work of Supreme Audit Institutions in the Pacific. Panellists shared ways their organisations complement the work of government integrity agencies and provided examples of actions they have taken.

Our integrity webinar series creates a safe space for public servants to explore effective ways of strengthening the public integrity system. The series focuses on building strong national integrity systems in the Pacific region.
